U.K. Launches Major FASD Prevention Campaign

It seems after years of normalizing alcohol in the UK, they are finally seeing the need to address the long-term impact of alcohol use during pregnancy.
The United States could learn from their mistakes.

“Health officials in Manchester, United Kingdom are now launching a £1.6 million pound campaign to tackle FASD. Jon Rouse of the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership says, “There is no safe time or no safe amount to drink during pregnancy. The message is simple but it isn’t getting through. As a consequence, too many of our children start life from a weakened position.”
